Kao savršeni partner, koji se uklopio dizajnom i performansama, DCD-1520AE zadovoljava sve zahtjeve modernih hifista. U CD player je ugrađen novi inovativni S.V.H. mehanizam diska s niskim centrom gravitacije, dok antivibracijsko kućište brine za optimalni playback.

Asinkroni USB-B ulaz omogućuje spajanje sa računalom i reprodukciju visokokvalitetnih datoteka (192kHz/24 bit) uz napredni AL32 Processing i high-class 32bit/192 kHz DAC.
